Reverse Lens

So I was telling Betty about the reverse lens trick where you take your lens off your camera, turn the lens around so that the part that attaches to the camera is held against the opening of the body of the camera and you end up with an f/stop of zero. You adjust your ISO settings and shutter speed to let in the light you need. So macro is not my strong point and of course neither is reverse lens because it is in essence a form of macro. So here is my entry for today......... day 2 of the challenge.
I really hate that the Buddha's boobs are in focus and his nose and cheeks are not. I guess I should have tried again. But I feel lazy today. Sorry! Heidi........ please help. You are the very best at macro.

I just knew that today would bring something special. When I picked my son up from school, he told me this girl from his class gave him something in a bag and he was not to open it till he got home. Well this is what it was............

Is this the look of LOVE. Is it TRUE love? I don't know how I'll behave the day he tells me he's really in love and is going to get married.

So how did you do that again? And which lens was it?
Curious minds need to know...

Mike......... take the lens off the camera..... flip the lens around so that the part that usually screws into the camera is facing out and the part that is out is against the camera. Hold it there and take your close up photo.
I used the 50mm. But you can use just about any small lens for this. I have used my 14-55 on my Olympus and it worked just fine.

Jax, I have never tried the reverse lens trick. I will hve to give this a try sometime. I agree the cheeks need to be in focus, not the boobs. Your boy looks positively smitten.

Don't say that Janet...... I just can't stand the thought of my sons loving some other woman. I want it to be me!!! waaaaaa!! sniff, sniff!
How selfish of me, I know..... but still........ I'm being truthful and selfish and not ashamed of it.

Awww. How cute is that!! So did he think it was weird, or did he blush. If he blushed, he likes her LOL. I'm going to have to try that reverse lens thing!

he blushed. He also knew what was in the bag way before he got home. He felt embarrassed to tell me. I talked to him tonight and told him not to be embarrassed to tell me anything, ever. Awwww..... my baby has a girlfriend.......... sniff, sniff...

That's my grandson and let me tell you that he is only collecting hearts at the moment!
His step granddad, Tony, thinks he is a great guy who told him last year, "Don't worry, Grandpa Tony, I'll look after you!"
Ooops! There went another heart to Ty's collection.
The photos are all great BTW. :-)
